Recently, our team has been developing and iterating a new hot-melt adhesive formulation for heat-shrinkable tape designed specifically for steel-pipe surfaces.
The new sample demonstrates extremely high peel strength, exceeding the measurement range of our current test equipment and preventing the instrument from recording a precise value.
Manual peel testing further verified the bonding performance: the adhesive layer remained firmly bonded to the steel pipe with no interfacial debonding. Under external force, the heat-shrinkable tape backing stretched and failed cohesively, indicating that the adhesive-to-steel bond strength exceeded the strength of the backing material itself.
Our R&D team will continue optimizing the formulation and test methods to further improve product stability, with additional test results to be shared as work progresses.
