Recently, our company carried out iterative R&D on a hot melt adhesive heat shrinkable tape formulation dedicated to steel pipe surfaces.
The new sample exhibits extremely high peel strength, exceeding the measurement range of the test equipment, so the equipment could not read precise test data.
Manual peel testing confirmed: the adhesive layer bonds firmly to the steel pipe with no interfacial debonding; under external force, the heat shrinkable tape substrate was stretched and elongated, achieving substrate failure, which proves that the adhesive-steel bonding strength is superior to the substrate's own strength.
